Utilizing a precision-machined metal-to-metal interface, these valves rely on mechanical force and surface finish rather than material elasticity to achieve a reliable seal. This makes them the primary choice for non-potable water, steam, and industrial process lines where durability is the only acceptable metric.
Advanced Tribology: Seat Ring Precision
The "Tightness" of our metal-seated series is a result of advanced metallurgical and machining processes:
- Interference Fit Seat Rings: Unlike lower-grade versions where rings are simply screwed in, Veyron’s seat rings are Interference-Fitted (Pressed) into the body and then pinned or welded. This ensures they remain stable under extreme thermal cycling and prevents the "leakage behind the ring" that often plagues industrial installations.
- Scraping Action: As the metallic wedge descends, the leading edge acts as a mechanical scraper. It physically displaces debris, scale, and sediments from the seating face, ensuring a clean contact area.
- Galling Resistance: By utilizing dissimilar hardness levels between the wedge and the body seats (e.g., Stainless Steel vs. Bronze or Stellite), we prevent "Galling"—the cold-welding effect that occurs when two identical metals are pressed together under high torque.
