The Gold Standard for Volatile Media Control
In the rigorous world of oil and gas refining, power generation, and petrochemical processing, the ASME Gate Valve stands as the definitive barrier. Engineered in strict compliance with API 600 and ASME B16.34, Veyron Valve’s cast steel series is designed to handle the thermal expansions and high-velocity flows that would compromise standard industrial valves. This is not a "utility" valve; it is a heavy-duty isolation component built for the high-temperature, high-pressure cycles of a modern refinery.
OS&Y Design: Visual Security and Thread Protection
The most striking feature of our ASME series is the Outside Screw and Yoke (OS&Y) construction.
- External Stem Threads: By moving the stem threads outside the pressure boundary, we protect them from the corrosive and abrasive nature of the process media. This ensures that even after years of service in a sulfur-rich environment, the valve remains easy to operate without the risk of internal thread galling.
- Visual Position Indication: The rising stem provides immediate visual confirmation of the valve’s status to field operators—a critical safety feature in emergency isolation scenarios where "at-a-glance" verification is mandatory.
Advanced Trim & Sealing: The Stellite Advantage
Refinery fluids often contain catalysts or particulates that can "scour" standard metallic seats. Veyron Valve utilizes API Trim 8 as our standard configuration:
- Hardfacing: The seating surfaces are overlayed with Stellite #6 (Cobalt-based alloy). This provides exceptional resistance to erosion, galling, and oxidation at temperatures exceeding 400°C.
- Flexible Wedge Geometry: To compensate for pipe stress and thermal binding (where a valve becomes stuck due to temperature changes), our wedges are precision-machined with a "Flexible" center. This allows the seating faces to adjust slightly, ensuring a tight seal even if the body undergoes minor thermal deformation.

The Backseat Arrangement: Maintenance Under Pressure
One of the most overlooked features of the Veyron ASME gate valve is the integral backseat. Located at the top of the bonnet, this feature allows the stem to seal against the bonnet when the valve is fully open. This effectively isolates the stuffing box from line pressure, allowing for emergency packing adjustments or inspections while the pipeline remains active—an essential feature for 24/7 industrial plants where "shutting down" is not an option.
Quality & Traceability
Every valve leaves our facility with a full EN 10204 3.1 MTR (Mill Test Report). We conduct 100% shell and seat pressure testing, as well as optional NDT (Radiographic or Magnetic Particle) testing on the pressure-containing castings, ensuring that every Veyron Valve meets the zero-defect expectations of the global energy sector.
