Veyron Valve’s Dismantling Joint provides the essential telescopic travel required to bridge this gap. By allowing for up to 50mm of longitudinal adjustment, this double-flanged fitting ensures that heavy valves, pumps, and meters can be slid into place without the need for destructive pipe cutting or the application of excessive torque to the flange bolts.
Load Transfer: The Tie-Rod Assembly
Unlike simple slip-couplings, our dismantling joints are designed as Self-Restrained Units.
- Integrated Thrust Management: Every unit is equipped with a full set of high-tensile Tie-Rods (Studs) that span the entire length of the assembly. These rods are not just fasteners; they serve as a mechanical bridge that transfers the longitudinal thrust of the fluid directly across the joint. This prevents the joint from over-extending under pressure, providing a rigid, high-integrity connection once the final installation is complete.
- Compression Sealing: We utilize a robust wedge-shaped EPDM or NBR gasket. When the retainer ring is tightened, it compresses the seal against the telescopic sleeve, creating a "drip-tight" interface that remains stable even during the subtle thermal shifts of municipal water mains.
