Reliable Backflow Prevention without the Headache
In pumping systems handling viscous fluids or suspended solids, conventional swing check valves often fail due to debris entanglement. Veyron Valve’s Ball Check Valve offers a fundamentally different approach. Designed primarily for wastewater, sewage, and thick slurries, this valve utilizes a simple yet ingenious moving part: a precision-weighted ball that moves completely out of the flow path during operation, providing a clear, full-bore passage.
The Dynamics of the "Floating" Ball
The operational integrity of our valve lies in the ball's behavior. Unlike fixed-hinge designs, the ball in our series is free to rotate during the flow cycle.
- Self-Cleaning Action: As fluid passes through, the ball rotates constantly. This mechanical rotation naturally "scrubs" the seating surface, preventing the buildup of calcium or biological films that typically cause leakage in other valve types.
- Low Head Loss: When the pump is active, the ball is pushed into a side gallery. This results in a Full Bore flow with virtually zero turbulence, significantly reducing energy consumption and preventing the "clogging" common in narrow-seated valves.
- Silent Closure (Non-Slam): As the pump stops, the ball returns to its seat guided by gravity and backpressure. The resilient coating of the ball absorbs the impact, offering a "non-slam" silent closure that protects your pipeline from the destructive forces of water hammer.

Built for the Field: Maintenance & Durability
Maintenance teams value Veyron Valve’s design because it acknowledges real-world conditions. The valve is equipped with an easy-access bonnet. By removing just a few bolts, the ball can be inspected or replaced without disconnecting the valve from the main pipeline. This "Top-Entry" capability is a critical time-saver in municipal sewage stations where downtime must be kept to an absolute minimum.
The ball itself features a hollow or solid aluminum core (depending on buoyancy requirements) fully vulcanized with high-grade NBR. This ensures the ball remains chemically resistant to the hydrocarbons and fats often found in industrial wastewater.
Strategic Applications
Whether it’s a submersible pump station, a mining dewatering line, or a food processing waste system, our ball check valves excel where others fail. They are particularly effective in low-pressure systems where a traditional spring-loaded valve might not have enough "cracking pressure" to operate efficiently.
